Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has called on Muslim faithful to uphold the values of piety, charity, and moderation, as emphasized in the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).

Zulum made this appeal during the Annual Ramadan Lecture at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, where he was the Special Guest of Honour.

The governor emphasized the importance of Ramadan in fostering a resilient, patriotic, and charitable citizenry in Nigeria.

He encouraged Muslims to remain prayerful, patriotic, and patient throughout the holy month, promoting religious tolerance, engaging in philanthropic endeavors, and serving as exemplary ambassadors of Islam.

In a show of support, Governor Zulum donated N50 million on behalf of the Borno State government to promote charitable initiatives, fraternity, and communal harmony within the OAU Muslim Community.
