In response, a joint team comprising the Amotekun Corps, vigilantes, local hunters, and other security forces has launched a search-and-rescue operation.
The team is combing surrounding bushes to track down the kidnappers and secure Amadu’s safe release. “Sources said that a joint team of security forces, Amotekun Corps, vigilantes and local hunters had since launched a search-and-rescue operation, combing surrounding bushes to track down the suspects and rescue the victim,” a report confirmed.
This abduction follows a pattern of similar incidents in Oyo State, where security operatives recently dismantled a kidnapping ring in Ipapo and Okaka communities, arresting five suspects.
The Oyo State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on this latest attack.
