ABUJA, NIGERIA – Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political future is bright as 2027 approaches.
“We can see everything turning around for President Tinubu in 2027,” Akpabio posted on his social media handle.
At the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit, Akpabio announced a formal legislative endorsement for Tinubu’s second-term bid.
Akpabio, who led members of the National Assembly to the event, said the endorsement was unanimous.
With him was the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajuddeen Abbas, who supported the motion.
“The APC National Assembly caucus passed a resolution backing Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate,” Akpabio said.
The summit, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda,” took place earlier today.
Legislators described Tinubu’s leadership as decisive and reform-driven.
“We have no better candidate for 2027,” said a lawmaker who attended the summit.
Party members at the event reportedly welcomed the resolution with loud applause.

Akpabio described the moment as historic for the APC and Nigeria’s democracy.
According to him, “The unity behind President Tinubu shows our commitment to national stability.”
The endorsement positions Tinubu as the frontrunner for the APC ticket, despite no official campaign announcement.
Party leaders said the resolution reflects confidence in Tinubu’s performance since taking office.
Analysts say the move may discourage intra-party competition for the presidency.
Akpabio’s post quickly gained traction, drawing support from APC supporters online.
“This is a message of solidarity and vision,” said another user in response.
The APC leadership has yet to comment formally on the resolution.
