ENUGU, EZEAGU – The identity of the pregnant woman whose body was discovered in a soak-away at the residence of a suspected ritualist in Ezeagu, Enugu State, has been revealed.
Truth Live News media reports that she is known as Joy Miracle, a single mother of two and a popular food vendor in the Oji River community.
Joy had been missing for several days before her corpse was found during a police raid on the home of the popular native doctor, Levi Obieze, also known as ‘E de play, e de show, who is alleged to be the leader of a ritualist cult operating in the area.
Tragically, it was revealed that Joy had already suffered great personal loss.
She reportedly lost her husband just a few months ago in a fuel tanker explosion, leaving her to singlehandedly raise their two children.
Investigations suggest she may have been lured to her death by a member of the cult who operates a barbing salon in Oji River.
The man, now in custody, initially posed as her boyfriend and allegedly deceived her into seeking help from the native doctor, under the pretence of solving a personal issue. His exact role in her death remains under investigation.

The gruesome discovery has thrown both the Oji River and Ezeagu communities into mourning and disbelief. Many residents, who knew Joy as a hardworking and kind woman, are demanding justice and swift action against all those involved.
The Enugu State Police Command has assured the public that the case is being handled with urgency, promising to uncover the full extent of the ritualist operation and ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice.
