Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has approved the release of N585.4 million as tuition fees for 100 indigenous students pursuing their academic career in various universities in India.
The state Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga, disclosed this while briefing Journalists in the state.
“Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi, has approved and released the payment of tuition fees of N585.4 million for the 100 students of Kebbi state indigenes studying in various universities in India,” he said.
Abubakar-Tunga said that the ministry for higher education remained indebted to the governor for his efforts towards promoting academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education sector.
The commissioner implored the entire citizens of the state to continue to pray for the continue success of the present administration in both their individuals and collective prayers.
