An accident that happened close to the Ikpoba River in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State has left one person critically injured while the others narrowly escaped death.
The accident was said to have involved a GLK car and an Audi.
One of the victims, Mr. Osaretin John, said the GLK was coming from the Ring road axis on a top speed and that when the driver could not control the speed, he rammed into the Audi Car which was parked by the roadside.
He said the owner of the Audi Car is his friend and that the car broke down on the way. So, he parked the car, and went to get the parts to fix it
Mr. John said he was standing behind the car when he saw the driver of the GLK on a high speed trying to avoid other vehicle on the same lane with him and when he could not control the speed, he rammed into the parked Audi car, hitting him and other wheelbarrow pusher in the process.
John who thanked God for saving his life, said the wheelbarrow pusher was seriously injured and has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
Others who were present when the accident happened thanked God that they were not hit by the car.
