May, the first wife of Nollywood actor/producer Yul Edochie has finally spoken up about her marital crisis the second time since Yul Edochie married his colleague, Judy Austin, as second wife.
Contrary to the impression Yul gave to the public on May’s birthday that they’re doing fine in their home, May has publicly declared that polygamy is a choice and nobody should force her into it. This implies she has not accepted Yul’s second wife as a mate and she can’t be in the marriage anymore.
According to Yul, they still live in the same mansion but May has given the reason of her stay in their home as she stated that they both built the home from scratch and prior to what happened, she had a blessed and lovely home that she needed nothing else.
She wrote:
“There’s no point making an already bad situation worst, hence the need to remain calm is crucial.
“Polygamy is a choice, and no one should be compelled to accept it.
However, I am absolutely certain that I will not be numbered as a wife or be Cajoled to accept a practice that does not align with my faith and family values.
“God blessed me with a happy, peaceful and lovely family in a beautiful and jointly built mansion that started from little or nothing….. humble beginnings.”
