Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has raised concerns over the low number of candidates who have printed their examination slips ahead of Saturday’s 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up test.

In a statement released on Friday, JAMB revealed that only 12,442 out of 98,232 scheduled candidates just 12.6% had printed their exam notification slips as of that morning.

The mop-up exam, set for Saturday, 28 June, is meant for candidates who missed the main UTME earlier in the year. JAMB has urged those affected to act immediately to avoid missing this final opportunity.

“This is a rare chance for candidates who missed the main exam,” said JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin. “We strongly encourage all eligible candidates to print their slips without delay.”

JAMB stressed that failure to print the slip means the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

The board added that it is closely monitoring the situation and has deployed staff and resources nationwide to ensure the exercise runs smoothly.

“All candidates must print their slips today, Friday, 27 June, to participate in tomorrow’s examination,” the statement concluded.
