Arrangements are underway for the funeral of former President Muhammadu Buhari, whose body is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria tomorrow, Tuesday.
According to sources close to the family, the remains of the late President will depart London at 6 a.m. and are expected to arrive at Katsina Airport around 12 noon. The funeral prayer is likely to take place by 2 p.m. in Daura, his hometown.
Late President Buhari passed away in London following a prolonged illness. His death marks the end of a significant chapter in Nigeria’s history, having served both as military Head of State and democratically elected President.
Prayers are being offered across the country for the repose of his soul. “May Allah grant him a place in Jannatul Firdaus alongside our departed parents, family members, and loved ones,” said a source familiar with the funeral plans.
