Former Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Prof. Charles Quaker Dokubo is dead.
Dokubo who reportedly passed on in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja on Wednesday night, August 24, 2022.
The one-time Research Professor at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Lagos died after a brief illness at the age of 70.
He was a member of the Economic Community of West Africa’s technical assistant team to the 1997 special elections in Liberia, where he was in charge of voter registration. He has been a member of several inter-ministerial committees in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and helped in the policy making processes on AFRICOM and the Gulf of Guinea.
Details of his death and burial arrangements are still sketchy as at the time of filing in this report.
