A Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse 6, Abuja, has on Wednesday sentenced a man fifteen (15) strokes of public caning for fighting a prostitute.
Truth Live News confirmed this via a post shared by popular Activist, Omoyele Sowore on his verified social media handles.
Sowore posted;
“I have just witnessed an unusual sentence being handed down at the Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse 6, Abuja. Magistrate Farida Ibrahim sentenced the young man to 15 strokes of public caning, a sentence imposed without legal representation, based solely on police evidence that he admitted to fighting a prostitute”.
