Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has distanced himself from claims that he is vying for the office of Vice President.

Radda dismissed posters and messages amplifying his ambition, stating that he remains focused on his duties as governor.

He stated, “I’ve seen posters and messages suggesting I’m pursuing another office.”

“Let me be clear, I sought your mandate to serve as Governor of Katsina State, and that is my only focus,” he added.

“I am not behind any campaign to contest elsewhere,” Radda established.

He ended, “My duty is to fulfil the trust you’ve placed in me.”

Truth Live News recalls that the Katsina State Assembly has endorsed Radda for a second term, and senators and House of Representatives members from Katsina State have also followed suit.

Radda’s denial comes amid speculation that President Bola Tinubu might drop Vice President Kashim Shettima before the 2027 presidential election.
