Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced a major reshuffle of his cabinet, redeploying several commissioners and appointing new ones in what officials describe as a move to strengthen governance and improve performance across key sectors.

The shake-up was confirmed in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who said the changes were part of efforts to “reposition the administration for improved service delivery and optimal performance.”

Among the key changes, Ahmad Muhammad Bakori was redeployed from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to lead the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development. Meanwhile, Aliyu Lawal Zakari, who previously served as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, will now oversee the Ministry of Agriculture.

Zainab Musa Musawa, formerly Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Special Duties. Her former position will now be occupied by Yusuf Suleiman Jibia.

In other changes, Surajo Yazid Abukur was named Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, while Adnan Nahabu will head the Ministry of Higher, Vocational, and Technical Education.

Hajiya Aisha Aminu, who previously served as Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, has been appointed Commissioner for Women Affairs.

The governor also announced two new special advisers: Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua on Nutrition and Welfare Services, and Isa Muhammad Musa on Cultural Orientation.

Governor Radda’s office said the reshuffle reflects his administration’s “commitment to effective governance and responsive leadership” as Katsina continues to push for reforms in education, agriculture, and youth development.
