After spending two years in kidnappers den, 4 of the remaining 11 kidnapped students of Federal Government College in Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, have been freed.
The victims were reportedly released after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom to notorious terrorists kingpin, Dogo Gide.
Recall that, Gide had reeled out a number of conditions to be met by the state government before securing their release.
It was gathered that, two of the released victims who were in their teen returned with the babies they gave birth to while in captivity, PRNigeria reported.
Recall that the parents of the victims had in January pleaded with Nigerians to help raise money to secure the students release.
Truth Live News reports that in June, 2021, no fewer than 100 students aged between 12-16 were abducted from the Federal government college in Yauri, Kebbi State.
Meanwhile, one Salim Ka’oje and Daniel Alkali had revealed in an open letter that the insurgents requested for N100 million as ransom.
