Kwara United players have been rewarded with N5m each and a plot of land for winning the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The reward was announced by Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, during a grand reception for the players and officials of the team in Ilorin.
The team won the title by defeating Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties in the final of the competition at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos last Saturday.
As a result of their win, Kwara United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
The club were given a hero’s welcome in Ilorin, parading the trophy around key parts of the capital after their return from Lagos.
