CROSS RIVER STATE, BAKASSI – His Highness Chief Antagha Antagha Cobham the Village head of Ikang Town welcomed officials of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bakassi LGA.
The meeting took place at his palace in Ikang Town, with local and regional church leaders present.
President Godwin Oyigoja Oboh of the Calabar Nigeria Etta-Agbor Stake led the delegation.
He was accompanied by counselors Ephraim Udobong and Okon Akak, along with President and Sister Oryang of the Calabar Mission.
Also in attendance was President Abung of the Akpabuyo Branch and full-time missionaries.

During the visit, Chief Cobham received a copy of the Book of Mormon from the church officials.
“I am happy to receive all of you,” Chief Cobham said. “We love visitors, especially those with development in mind.”
President Oboh thanked the traditional leaders for their warm reception and openness to the Church’s message.
He urged them to read the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ and pray to know its truth.
“If they ask sincerely, the Holy Ghost will confirm it to them,” Oboh said.
Church officials shared teachings, testimonies and answered questions during a brief discussion at the palace.
The visit ended with an exchange of pleasantries and a group photograph with the village head.
