The facility manager of Aba Textile Mill and two other staff members have been arrested by the operatives of the Aba Police command for allegedly stealing and vandalising the mill’s property.
The Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, who didn’t disclose the names of the suspects, announced this during a briefing in Umuahia, warning that the government will not tolerate such crimes.
He said that those who steal or damage state property will face severe consequences.
According to him “The state government is using this medium to warn all unscrupulous persons whose stock in trade is to steal and vandalize government property to desist from such criminal tendencies or be ready to face the wrath of the law,”
