Morocco have booked their spot in the final of the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, edging Egypt 1-0 in their semi-final match.
Substitute Jones El Abdellaoui scored the winning goal in the 77th minute, latching onto a cross from Ismaël Aouad to calmly slot home for the Young Atlas Lions.
Morocco will face South Africa in the final, who earlier defeated Nigeria 1-0 in the first semi-final match.
A well-taken header by Tylon Smith in the 66th minute settled the intense clash, ending Nigeria’s hopes of winning a record-extending eighth U-20 AFCON title.
Nigeria will now take on the hosts in the third-place match for the bronze medal.
