NECO Reschedules Common Entrance Exams Over Low Registration

The The National Examinations Council (NECO) has adopted Saturday, June 3rd for the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) which was earlier scheduled to hold Saturday, April 29.

The National exam body, NECO blamed the rescheduling of the exams on low turn up in registration for the exams.

The National Common Entrance Examinations, which admits candidates into the Federal Unity Colleges across the federation, was earlier scheduled to commence Saturday 29th April.

In a statement by the NECO’s spokesman, Azeez Sani said that the rescheduling will give more time for states will low turn up in registration to measure up as he urged parents, schools and students to take note of the new date.

The statement reads, “The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rescheduled the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) which is conducted for admission into Federal Unity Colleges from Saturday 29th April, 2023 to Saturday 3rd June 2023.

The Examination was rescheduled to give States with low registration of candidates the opportunity to register their candidates for the examination.

All candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new date for the examination.

The registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the examination.
