The Niger State Police Command has successfully rescued four kidnapped victims in Sarkin-Pawa, Munya Local Government Area of the state.

The victims, Deborah Daina, Gambo Amos, Cyprus Titus, and Satti Iko, were abducted on February 20 along with Usman Daina, who was later released after two days.

A joint security team had been conducting clearance and rescue operations, mounting pressure on the kidnappers, which ultimately led to the victims’ escape on May 22.

The rescued victims were taken to the hospital for medical attention and subsequently reunited with their families.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Elleman, commended the joint security team for their bravery and reassured the public that the safety of lives and property remains the top priority of the Police and other security agencies in the state.
