Nigeria stands to gain new opportunities in global diplomacy, youth engagement, and peace-driven entrepreneurship as leading international figures converge at the World Public Assembly for a special panel session titled “Peacekeeping, a Strategy for Unification and Prosperity of Mankind.”
The high-level dialogue will gather peacemakers, public figures, scientists, philosophers, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and philanthropists from across continents to deliberate on peacekeeping as a core driver of global transformation.
Against the backdrop of increasing geopolitical tensions and a shifting international order, the session will explore ways to promote a multipolar world built on sovereignty, cultural identity, and mutual cooperation.
Session moderator, Alexey Voronov, Head of the Council for the Development of Interreligious Relations of the BRICS International Development Organization, emphasized that the agenda is not about confrontation with the West, but about restoring ethnic and cultural self-awareness while fostering constructive global dialogue.
“Together we need to determine the true spiritual and moral guidelines of modern society… Peacekeeping is the central force of positive global change,” Voronov noted.
Opportunities for Nigeria
Nigeria, represented by Emaikwu Pesciens, President of the Association of African Youth, is expected to leverage the platform to advance its strategic interests in three critical areas:
Youth Diplomacy and Leadership – Strengthening Nigeria’s role as a continental leader by empowering young people to serve as global “Peace Ambassadors.”
Entrepreneurship for Peace – Encouraging creative industries and businesses that prioritize social responsibility and community development.
Public Diplomacy and Soft Power – Expanding Nigeria’s influence through cultural diplomacy, interfaith dialogue, and regional mediation efforts.
Global Voices for Peace
Key speakers at the session include:
Mikhail Krasnov (Russia), President of the World Union of Peacekeepers, who stressed that peacekeeping is “philanthropy and humanity’s awareness of itself as the greatest creation.”
Dr. Abdullah Ali Abdullah Neyadi (UAE), President of the Global Communication Platform AL TAWASOL, who called for “a dialogue of cultures and sustainable harmony.”
Holger Thorsten Schubert (Germany), expert in alternative energy solutions.
Veronica Tan (Malaysia), philanthropist and global investor.
Alexander Usanin (Russia), geopolitical philosopher and BRICS expert.
Akil Mohammad (India), youth leader and global peace activist.
Path Forward
Participants will seek to build consensus on promoting the unification of religious and cultural perspectives in peacekeeping, advancing public diplomacy through Peace Ambassadors, and launching a Global Strategy for Creation centered on love, reconciliation, and creative entrepreneurship.
The session will conclude with the signing of a petition to expand humanitarian peacekeeping cooperation and reinforce partnerships in public diplomacy.
For Nigeria, active participation in such a platform underscores its readiness to champion African perspectives in global peacebuilding while exploring new avenues for economic and diplomatic growth in a multipolar world.
