Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said when President Muhammadu Buhari leaves office on May 29, Nigerians will miss him.
Shehu, said this in an interview with Channels TV sunrise daily on Monday, March 27. He also added that like previous presidents, Nigerians will be wishing for Buhari’s return when he hands over to the next president.
According to him, Nigerian leaders are not loved while in office, but are missed when they leave.
Citing the case of Goodluck Jonathan who he says was persecuted out of office, but has now become the favorite of many Nigerians, Mr Shehu was of the opinion that this same thing will happen after Buhari has handed over to the next president.
