The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has dismissed claims made in a viral video that its petrol products don’t last long in vehicles, compared to Dangote Refinery’s petrol.

The company described the originators of the video as economic saboteurs desperate to misinform the public.

In a statement issued by NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the company emphasized that it will not tolerate deliberate misinformation designed to undermine its operations and mislead Nigerians.

NNPCL threatened to take firm legal action against individuals or groups who intentionally spread falsehoods about its brand and operations.

Notably, NNPCL revealed that most of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sold at its Lagos retail outlets is sourced from Dangote Refinery, which adheres to strict industry standards, ensuring the quality of petroleum products supplied to consumers.
