The Interim Management Committee (IMC) has confirmed a 30-day opening for transfers in the domestic league and a break period for the general elections in Nigeria.

Officially, the mid-term break of the league started on Wednesday with games involving El-Kanemi Warriors abs Kwara United in Maiduguri.
The encounter is also the penultimate fixture of match-day 9 and according to the IMC, the NPFL shall proceed on a break, which was planned to make room for the players, coaches, other staff of the twenty clubs to exercise their franchise in the 2023 general elections.
According to the IMC, the mid-season transfer window has been flagged open, since February 19 and it shall remain open for exactly one month, that’s 11:59 pm on March 19.
Thereafter, the curtain shall be drawn on players registration, on March 24, 2023.
The very last fixture of match-day 9 is the postponed game in Aba between Abia Warriors of Umuahia and Rivers United of Port Harcourt; which the IMC has rescheduled for April 4, 2023.
The tie was postponed to enable the Pride of Rivers host ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire in a Group B duel, of the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup, eventually won by Rivers United 3-0, on Sunday, in Uyo.
