National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has recently found himself embroiled in a contentious dispute with Kano State’s Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo.

Truth Live News gathered that the crux of the issue revolves around allegations levied by Gwarzo, accusing Ribadu of advocating for the return of Ado Bayero to Kano.

In response, Ribadu, represented by legal counsel from Aliyu & Musa Chambers, swiftly countered with a formal demand for an apology, categorically refuting the claims as baseless and damaging to his reputation. The correspondence underscored Ribadu’s unblemished track record and the seriousness of the accusations, which have inflicted considerable distress upon him and his family.

The letter states: “Your false accusations against our client portraying his office as an appendage of a political party and a willing tool to cause chaos in Kano is false and done with the intention of damaging the hard-earned reputation of our client.”

Ribadu’s legal team emphasized his impeccable record and the gravity of the accusations made by Gwarzo, which have caused significant embarrassment to Ribadu and his family.”

The missive from Ribadu’s legal team left no room for ambiguity, insisting on concrete evidence to validate Gwarzo’s assertions. Moreover, Ribadu issued a stringent ultimatum, requiring Gwarzo to retract his defamatory statements and issue a public apology through prominent national newspapers and online platforms within a tight 24-hour window. Failure to comply, as explicitly stated, would prompt Ribadu to pursue legal recourse.

Beyond the immediate legal ramifications, the standoff between Ribadu and Gwarzo has heightened tensions in Kano, with speculations abound regarding the potential escalation of unrest if prompt intervention is not forthcoming.
