Governor Godwin Obaseki has been nominated as the 2023 Governor of the Year in the prestigious This Day Newspaper Award, a commendation celebrated by the Concerned Edo Citizens Forum. This recognition underscores Obaseki’s steadfast dedication to Edo State’s evolution and prosperity throughout the last seven years.

 

This Day Newspaper lauded Obaseki as a resilient leader who navigated and succeeded in re-election battles, preparing for another significant political challenge in the impending succession tussle. The nomination not only acknowledged his political acumen but also highlighted his bold decisions to dismantle longstanding obstacles hindering growth among Nigeria’s sub-nationals.
