Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate and his running mate, Mr Peter Obi, and Dr Yusuf Datti Ahmed, today met two of the country’s former heads of state, ex president, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB, and Abubakar Abdulsalami, both of them retired generals, in their ongoing consultations with national stakeholders and leaders.
In his verified Twitter handle, Obi remarked that both he and his running mate got useful advice from IBB.
“My running mate, and I visited President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, GCFR, at his home in Minna.
“He received us very warmly and we had insightful conversations on the state of affairs in our country.
“We are grateful to IBB for his fatherly welcome and counsel.
There has been groundswell of popular support for Obi and Datti especially from the youths and newly registered voters across the country.
This as solidarity rally has been holding across the country in support of the LP candidates.
