The Obidient Movement has dismissed reports that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has agreed to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate in the 2027 presidential election, calling the claims “false.”
The movement’s Director of Strategic Communication and Media, Nana Kazaure, stated that Obi remains a member of the Labour Party and will publicly announce any decision to leave the party.
The Obidient Movement emphasized that Obi’s objective in any coalition is to provide a united front against bad governance, corruption, poverty, and other pressing issues affecting Nigerians.
Kazaure urged against sensationalism and speculation, stressing the need for Nigerians and the media to focus on building a better country.
The Obidient Movement reiterated that any change in Obi’s party affiliation will be announced by him personally.
