Kenneth Okonkwo, popular Nollywood star and politician says that Peter Obi’s success as former governor of Anambra in security matters was so much that Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka, Evans, the billionaire kidnapper, had to flee the state to set up shop in Lagos.
Okonkwo an LP party man and member of the campaign team of Peter Obi made this call on television program in response to a historical howler made by former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole.
The former Edo governor had claimed without fact that kidnapping and the notorious Bakasi Boys held sway under Obi.
Fact check however shows that those security menaces predated Obi’s tenure.
“Evans, the billionaire kidnapper could not even become a thousadnaire in Anambra State, he ran away.
“When he was asked, he said it was Gov. Obi’s security tactics that chase him away and he dwell in other states that are pretending to be fighting crime”, Okonkwo, said.
He also said that LP is all about discussing ideas and not personalities.
“Little minds discuss people, average minds discuss events, great minds discuss ideas.
“So this campaign from labour party is going to be driven by ideas. Just like our principal has always maintained issues not person’s” he said.
