OCTOBER SCHEDULE: Minister of State Announces MSME Funding, Entrepreneurship Training

NIGERIA, ABUJA – Senator John Owan Enoh, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Industry, on Monday confirmed key activities for October in the ongoing John Owan Enoh–Joe MSME Program. He emphasized ethical disbursement and transparency.

According to details released by his office, the list of beneficiaries will be published on 1 October 2025. The minister said the publication ensures “every successful applicant is publicly known,” reinforcing accountability.

He announced that selected beneficiaries will undergo Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) training from 6 to 10 October 2025. Enoh explained that the training “will equip participants with the right skills to manage and grow their businesses responsibly.”

The program’s final October activity is the disbursement and business set-up phase beginning 13 October and running to 29 November 2025. He assured that funds “will be released strictly according to established guidelines to avoid misuse.”

Enoh noted the program is structured in four phases over a year, but stressed that the October schedule “marks a critical turning point where preparation gives way to action.”

He urged participants to demonstrate integrity in utilizing the support provided. “This initiative thrives when beneficiaries show responsibility and commitment to their enterprises,” he said.

The minister’s office reiterated that the MSME program aims to strengthen small and medium enterprises, create jobs and promote sustainable economic growth while maintaining high ethical standards throughout implementation.
