Armed bandits have killed one resident and abducted two teenagers early Wednesday morning in a brazen attack on Unguwan-Zuru village in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the bandits, arriving in large numbers, shot and killed Danjuma Gambo, a 45-year-old resident and also kidnapped two 15-year-old boys, Ibrahim Danjuma and Paska Kokko, taking them to an unknown location. The body of the deceased has been taken to the General Hospital in Kontagora for an autopsy.
Local authorities and community members have mobilized search parties to locate the abducted teens and apprehend the perpetrators, though no arrests have been reported at the time of writing this report.
