The Forum of Oyo State Local Government PDP Chairmen has strongly condemned Prince Seun Adelore’s resignation letter, in which he criticized Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership style.
The Forum stated that Adelore’s claims were unsubstantiated and intended to divert attention from his personal failures as a politician and public office holder.
The Forum added that Adelore’s attempt to position himself as a champion of democracy and good governance should be regarded as a poor attempt to cover up his own shortcomings.
They, however, expressed their unequivocal support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and the State party leadership.
Speaking further, they dissociated its members from Adelore’s “ill-conceived and malicious vituperations” and assured the Governor of their continued loyalty and support.
Truth Live News recalls that Adelore, a close associate of Governor Makinde, had resigned from his position as PDP Chairman in Ibadan North Local Government Area, over alleged imposition and intimidation.
This resignation came weeks before a crucial bye-election to fill the vacant seat for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
Recall that the vacant seat was left open after the death of Hon. Musliudeen Olaide Akinremi, a two-term member of the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced that the bye-election would be held in August, on the 16th.
