Ousmane Dembélé has won the 2025 Men’s Ballon d’Or. The Paris Saint-Germain winger beat out rivals to claim the top prize at a big event in Paris.

At 28, Dembélé had a great season scoring 15 goals with 18 assists. He helped PSG win the Champions League for the first time. In the final against Real Madrid, he was the star player.

Dembélé got the award from his hero, Ronaldinho. He said, “This is for all who believed in me.” Fans cheered loud. His win makes France the top country for Ballon d’Or winners with six different players. Voters picked him over Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior. The vote looks at the whole season, not just one year.

Young star Yamal, just 18, won the Kopa Trophy with numbers for Barcelona and Spain scoring 12 goals in La Liga and helped Spain in Euro 2025. He is the youngest ever to win it. Yamal said, “This feels like a dream. I am just starting.”

On the women’s side, Aitana Bonmatí won her third Ballon d’Or Féminin in a row. She leads Barcelona’s midfield. Her team won big in Spain but lost the Champions League final. She beat Arsenal’s Alessia Russo and Lyon’s Mariona Caldentey.

Other winners include Luis Enrique as Coach of the Year for PSG’s success. Viktor Gyökeres got the Gerd Müller Trophy for 42 goals with Sporting CP. PSG also took the new Club of the Year award.

The night had music from Burna Boy. It showed football’s mix of hard work and skill. Fans now talk: Does winning the Champions League beat everything else? For now, Dembélé and PSG are on top.
