The Uromi Like Minds Initiatives (ULMI) 5th Edition Secondary School Football Tournament which officially kicked off yesterday has advanced to match day two with Esan Model school coasting to victories on penalty shootout earlier today, Wednesday October 29, 2025 at the Uromi Township Stadium.

In the female category clash, Esan Model School squared off against the Buddy Female team in a fiercely contested affair that ended 0-0 after regulation time.

The match, marked by fierce defending and missed opportunities, advanced into penalties where Esan Model triumphed 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw at regular time.

The afternoon’s male showdown proved equally gripping as Esan Model School’s boys’ team faced Unique High School in a barren 0-0 stalemate over 90 minutes of goalless draw. Penalties again decided the fate, with Esan Model prevailing 4-2.

ULMI, known for its multifaceted contributions from library refurbishments and medical outreaches to recent donations of surveillance drones for community security organizes the tournament to nurture discipline and unity among Edo’s youth.

As the 5th edition progresses, the students are united again in the spirit of sportsmanship as the love of the sports electrifies the whole of Uromi.
