23-year-old Majidreza Rahnavard, in Nigeria might just be another activist routinely arrested and released, but, in Iran his country, such activism carries a capital punishment because the Islamic Republic says that it amounts to ‘waging war against God’.
So according to now viral reporting coming from Iran, with quite touching pictures of him, the 23-year-old protestor was executed, Monday, in Mashhad, Iran.
“No lawyer, no due process, tortured confession, sham trial.
“He was hanged for ‘waging war against God,” goes many reports emanating from Iran.
This cruelty in the name of religion is what has secularized so many young Iranians, Kareem Sandeerpour, a commentator on Twitter.
In another narration by another countryman, @1500tasvir_en they allowed Rahnavard’s mother to visit him, and didn’t speak of execution at all.
” She left smiling and hoping that her son would be released soon.
“This morning she arrived when her son’s murderers were burying his dead body alone,” the handle said.
