The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Dad Yusuf, 20, and Gibson Husseini, 17, for allegedly stealing a 100Ah Mikano generator battery from the LCCN Cathedral in Jimeta, Yola.
The suspects, residents of Upper Luggere, Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, were picked up by operatives of the State Intelligence Department on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Both suspects have confessed to stealing the battery on the night of June 23, 2025.
The police spokesperson, Sulaiman Nguroje, said investigation is ongoing to identify more accomplices and recover more stolen items.
“The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation,” the police assured.
