Operatives of Edo State Police Command have said they have begun a search for a man identified as Inuaghata who killed his pregnant wife, a mother of three in Benin just as the father of the slain woman places N100,000 bounty on the murderer.
The police also stated that the killer husband fled the crime scene before they got there.
The police said a serious manhunt has been launched against the fleeing abusive husband, identified simply as Mr. Inuaghata.

Investigators at the homicide section of the Edo State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are said to have taken over the case.
Police went further to give the name of the woman as Osaretin Adun, 23 whose killing occurred at the residence of the couple located in Egba, Benin City.
They were said to be expecting their fourth child when the husband allegedly killed her with a knife.
The father of the victim, Mr. Samuel Adun was said to have reported the unfortunate incident at a police station in the neighborhood.
According to the Edo State Police Command image maker, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Police: “On the 24th May 2023 at about 1700hrs, one Samuel Adun of Avbiama Community, Benin City came to the station and reported that he received a telephone call that his daughter named Osaretin Adun aged 25 was killed by her husband, named Inuaghata, surnamed unknown.
“Meanwhile, the DPO and his operatives visited the scene, took photographs and evacuated the corpse to mortuary”, SP Chidi stated.
However, the bereaved father of the pregnant woman, Mr. Samuel Adun has pledged to offer N100,000.00 to anyone with information that would lead to the arrest of his fleeing son-in-law.
“I hail from Orhionmwon local government. My daughter was killed by her husband. She was 23 years old.
“The incident happened at Egba on the 24th of last month. I do not understand the problem they have. I was called that my daughter has been killed.
“He used knife to slit her throat. My daughter was pregnant when she was killed. I want the boy arrested.
“I will give anybody that give information leading to his arrest the sum of N100,000.
“The boy had not formally married my daughter. His parents are both dead.
“I called his brother. He ran away after killing my daughter. His name is Inuaghata”, the bereaved and distraught father said
