Police Crack Down on Counterfeit Herbicide Operation, Arrest 5

The Bauchi State Police Command has uncovered and dismantled a fake herbicide production facility in the Inkil area of Bauchi metropolis.

The police arrested five suspects involved in the operation, who were producing and packaging counterfeit herbicides at a residential property in Unguwan Liman.

The raid, carried out on May 3, resulted in the recovery of large quantities of counterfeit materials and production tools, including labeled cartons, empty containers, and welding equipment.

The suspected ring leader, a 36-year-old man from Fadaman Mada, was apprehended following further investigations.

The police are currently holding all suspects in custody and are conducting ongoing investigations to dismantle the wider network behind the counterfeit business.

The Bauchi State Police Command has assured the public of its continued efforts to clamp down on criminal activities that endanger public health and consumer safety.
