Zainab Duke Abiola, the professor and said activist who allegedly assaulted her police orderly has been arrested and is currently being processed for prosecution if words from police high command are anything to go by.
According to statements signed by Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, police public relations officer, PPRO, police Inspector General has ordered express prosecution of the professor.
Picture and video of a bleeding police officer, Teju Moses, went viral earlier with stories that she was assaulted by Prof Abiola and her domestic staff because the officer refused to do certain duties as ordered by her principal on ethical grounds.
According to Adejobi, Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola and her domestic staff comprising the house maid, one Rebecca Enechido and a male suspect currently at large, have been arrested.
“Zainab Duke, an activist, grievously assaulted her orderly in company of some accomplices on Tuesday 20th September, 2022 at her residence in Garki, Abuja, due to the refusal of the orderly to breach professional ethics by carrying out menial and domestic chores at her house.
“The IGP has directed the expressprosecution of the arrested suspects who are currently in Police custody, as the preliminary investigation shows overwhelming evidence of culpability on the part of the Professor and her domestic staff,” he said.
