Nigerian actress Regina Daniel has sparked speculation about the possible end of her marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, after hinting publicly on Instagram that divorce may be her next step.
The 25-year-old actress shared a photo of her newly acquired home and wrote: “I have a roof over my head and the next is divorce.”
Her post quickly went viral across social media, triggering widespread public debate.
Previously, a viral video showed Daniels in tears and claiming: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing … Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Their marriage, which began in 2019 and has produced two children, has long attracted public scrutiny due to their age difference and Nwoko’s polygamous background.
In October 2025, a video surfaced showing Daniels in apparent distress and alleging domestic violence. Nwoko responded by denying all claims of assault. Instead, he released a statement accusing Daniels of substance misuse, alleging that she had assaulted staff members and damaged property, including vehicles and windows, during the crisis. He further claimed she had neglected their son during a medical emergency and threatened a staff nurse who attempted to intervene.
Shortly after addressing the allegations, Nwoko appeared on the television programme Politics Today on Channels Television, where he reaffirmed his open stance in favour of polygamy. He said:
“Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg. You know how difficult it is. But to stand on two, three or four is much more balanced.”
He added that men with only one wife “deserve pity” and insisted he had no regrets about marrying multiple women, saying he would do the same again.
Nwoko also reiterated his denial that he is a violent spouse. He stated: “I am not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids.”
There has been no official joint statement from the couple confirming divorce or reconciliation.
