Ex governor Bauchi’ State, Mohammed Abubakar, appears to have stirred up trouble after what appears to be an endorsement of the incumbent who is of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as youths of his own All Progressives Congress, APC, now lobby the party at the center to sanction the former governor.
Abubakar is alleged by the angry party youths of supporting the reelection bid of Governor Bala Mohammed, of the PDP, who defeated him in 2019.
Youths in Bauchi’, under the aegis of National Youth Caucus of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bauchi state Wing have started an active lobbying of th APC at the national level to have Abubakar sanctioned.
The group while addressing Journalists over the weekend at the NUJ Secretariat in Bauchi, called on the National Secretariat of the APC to immediately constitute a high powered committee to investigate the actions of the former Governor and impose necessary sanction on him in line with the constitution of the party.
“The attention of the APC youth caucus has been drawn to the casual politics played by the former APC Governor of Bauchi stat Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar which is unfortunate and a deliberate attempt to cause damage to the party and it candidate”, said Comrade Alkaseem Nuhu Abdulkadir, chairman of the youth caucus.
The group alleged that the former breached the party laws by engaging in antiparty activities.
