A supposed joyful return back home turned to sadness after a couple, who had been based in the United States, returned to Nigeria only to be allegedly poisoned to death by the husband’s younger brother.
They returned back to Nigeria with hope of settling into a beautiful new home expected to have been built by the suspect after they had entrusted a significant amount of money him for the project.
According to a Facebook post shared by a user @FridayAdemu, “the excited and hopeful, couple came back to Nigeria, expecting to step into the fruits of their hard-earned savings.
“However, upon their arrival, the younger brother placed them in a temporary house, assuring them that he would take them to see their newly built home the very next day.”
“Tragically, the couple never saw the morn!ng. In a devastating turn of events, they were found dead in their sleep, victims of p0!soning.”
“As the authorities investigated this heartbreaking incident, all evidence pointed to the younger brother, who had allegedly orchestrated their demise.”
The betrayal was unimaginable—not only had he failed to build the promised house, but he had taken the l!ves of those who trusted him most, he wrote.
“This chilling story serves as a stark reminder: trust no one blindly, not even those closest to you. Sometimes, the bonds of blood are not thicker than water but tainted with poison. May God have mercy on their souls, and may justice prevail in this unthinkable tragedy.”, he concluded.
