President Bola Tinubu visited Anambra State on Thursday to commission a series of major infrastructure projects completed under Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.

The President arrived at Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, around 12:14pm, accompanied by several top officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and governors from Ogun, Imo, and Enugu states.

During the working visit, Tinubu officially opened the New State Government House, a newly constructed Governor’s Lodge, the first in 34 years, the upgraded Anambra State House of Assembly, and the Solution Fun City, a public recreational facility.

At the inauguration ceremony, President Tinubu praised Governor Soludo for his focus on infrastructure and inclusive development.

“Soludo is providing solutions through infrastructure and people-focused development,” Tinubu said. “This is what democracy should be about, serving the people and building institutions. Well done, Mr Governor, for showing what good governance looks like.”

The President described the efforts as a model for future development, saying Anambra was “building tomorrow, today” and placing itself on a path of 21st-century progress.

He commended the use of technology and innovation to drive growth and called for more investments to support good governance across the country.
