South-west governors on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu in Ibadan where he is said to be recovering from his ailment.
Sharing pictures of the visit via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Akeredolu expressed joy at their kind gesture.
He wrote: “It was a delight to receive my brother Governors from the Southwest today, as we discussed National and other issues of interest to the region and the people.”
Amongst those who visited are governors Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, and Seyi Makinde of Oyo.
The Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke was absent from the meeting as he was in Kogi for the governorship election flag off campaign of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Truth Live News reports that Akeredolu who had been away from the country for several months had returned in September but not to his state.
Following his return, there has been calls from the opposition party for his resignation over his absence from the state.
Earlier, his wife had shared photos of him reincorporating after the ailment that ravaged him for months.
