Sudan coach Kwesi Appiah has attributed his team’s 4-0 win over Nigeria in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) to better coaching, implying that Nigeria’s team is not inherently bad, but rather in need of improved guidance.
He stated this on Tuesday after his team beat the Super Eagles B 4-0 in the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN.
“The Nigerian team is not bad, they just need better coaching,” he stated.
Appiah expressed surprise at the four-goal margin of victory, stating that while he expected his team to win, he hadn’t anticipated such a wide scoreline.
“I wasn’t expecting that scoreline.
“I knew we could beat Nigeria but not [4-0].”
The win has seen Sudan progress in the competition, while Nigeria has been eliminated under the guidance of coach Eric Chelle.
