Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated their eternal rivals, Black Queens of Ghana, 3-0 in a friendly match in Casablanca on Sunday.
The Super Falcons dominated the game, with Chiwendu Ihezuo opening the scoring through a deflected effort four minutes after the half-hour mark.
Asisat Oshoala expertly converted a penalty one minute before the break, and Captain Rasheedat Ajibade added the third with a cool finish five minutes after the break.
Ghana had a goal ruled out for offside and was later awarded a penalty, which Alice Kusi converted two minutes from time, but it was too little, too late.
The win has boosted the Super Falcons’ confidence ahead of their opening fixture at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia next week Sunday.
