The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has apprehended a 24-year-old suspect, Aliyu Umaru, for allegedly vandalizing and stealing underground electrification cables at the Gateway Stadium in Ilaro.
The suspect was caught in the act around 2:00 a.m. during a patrol routine by officers attached to the Ilaro Area Command of the Corps.
The suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation, and stolen cables, a cutlass, and scissors were recovered from him.
The So-Safe Corps commander, Soji Ganzallo, stated that the suspect and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ilaro Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
