AKWA IBOM STATE, UYO – The Akwa Ibom State Government has issued a final warning to EXCO members for abandoning the governor during official appointments.
In a memo dated May 15, 2025, Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, expressed displeasure over repeated protocol breaches.

Uwah said, “His Excellency has observed EXCO members frequently leave appointments while he is still engaging with the public.”
He described the action as “a breach of protocol” and “unacceptable in all ramifications,” urging members to change their conduct.
The statement emphasized that EXCO members must remain until the governor concludes his appointment and proceeds to his next destination.
