It was a jollof party like no other yesterday at Eko Hotels as superstar chef Hilda Baci cooked up a storm, preparing a mind-blowing 200 bags of jollof rice for the World Jollof Festival. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the Guinness World Record holder once again showed why she’s Nigeria’s culinary pride.
Even after hours of cooking and sharing, by 4 a.m. today there were still thousands of packs of the delicious rice left at the venue. In her usual cheerful spirit, Hilda called on Lagosians to rush down and grab their share, making it clear that nobody should miss out on the feast.
The event was more than just food, it was a celebration of Nigerian culture, community, and of course, the unbeatable taste of jollof. From the massive cooking pots to the happy faces of those who got a taste, Hilda once again proved that when it comes to bringing people together through food, she’s in a league of her own.
