At least three people are feared dead, and two others injured, after suspected bandits attacked travellers along the Damari-Dandume road in Katsina State on Friday evening.
The assailants reportedly blocked the road and opened fire on unsuspecting commuters, sparking sporadic shooting that led to the casualties.
The victims’ bodies were taken to the Damari Primary Health Care Centre’s mortuary, while the injured were rushed to nearby health facilities for treatment.
In a similar incident last month, bandits killed three people and abducted one in separate attacks across Sabuwa and Faskari local government areas.
